Barb has been serving in the Women’s Ministry since 1994. Through the years she has held positions as Facilitator, Facilitator Coordinator, AM/PM Facilitator Director, Prayer Partner Coordinator and Prayer Room Team. Barb is currently the Orientation Coordinator. Barb is very blessed with her husband, Ken and three wonderful sons.

Carmen Camino is originally from Lima, Peru, and has lived in the United States for 35 years. She is a graduate of Nova University where she received her BA and MBA degrees in Business Administration and International Business respectively. She is also an alumnus of Calvary’s School of Ministry.
Carmen divides her time between teaching the Bible for the Women @ Calvary, overseeing the PM Women’s Bible Study, serving on the Women’s Ministry’s Steering Committee, and taking care of her home. She even finds time to assist her husband with some of their drugstore’s administrative work.
As a bilingual teacher, she also travels to Mexico and Peru teaching the Bible at women’s conferences. She is not only committed to Jesus and to serving His women, but she is especially committed to the Word of God. She is passionate about helping women encounter God in a whole new way through His Word. Her desire is that women would embrace a biblical way of thinking and living and that they would be transformed into the image of Christ.
She and her husband, Wilfred, have been married sixteen years, and together have five children and eight grandchildren. She really enjoys hosting tea parties and traveling to Colorado to visit her grand kids.

Christy has been an active member of the Women at Calvary for many years. She has helped with Retreat, Bible Study, Celebration of Light and other Special Events. Her energies are currently being funneled toward learning to teach, mastering the HUB sound board, and sitting on the Steering Committee.
Participating and serving with the Women at Calvary has held an important place in Christy’s life. Through it she has developed strong and lasting relationships, experienced the infinite power of prayer, and has watched the Lord work in amazing ways.
Christy also feels blessed, beyond measure, in her personal life. She and her husband Tom have been married for 28 years, and have always been self-employed. They have grown together through reliance on God’s provision during the unpredictable times in small business ownership. Christy admires and respects her hard-working husband and is appreciative for the example of unconditional love that he is in her life.
Christy is the mother of two wonderful, college age girls, Summer and Shawna. They are the joy of her heart and she in constantly blessed through their generous spirit and their love for the Lord. Christy is also stepmother to Erik, and grandmother to five year old Parker.
Christy’s heart is to encourage women of all ages to recognize and accept God’s love, grace, and hope in their lives. She is extremely grateful for the opportunities that the Lord has offered her through this women’s ministry. Her prayer is that she will be humble before the Lord and always available to love and serve the women that He brings into her life.

Judy has been active in the Women’s Ministry in a variety of capacities since 1996. She has served in the Children’s Program, helped edit the Bible study homework, and has held the positions of Moderator and Moderator Coordinator over the past several years. Judy is currently the AM Moderator Overseer, as well as the Women’s website administrator. She has served on the Steering Committee since October 2006. Judy is married to her college sweetheart, Doug, and has two very active teenagers currently attending Hope Christian School.

Karlie loves being the wife of Dave Row, Associate Pastor of Calvary of Albuquerque. Married for 19 years, she has worked beside her husband during the early pioneering days of church planting in Taos and Angel Fire, NM, and the encompassing years of growing a church body while raising four children. They have served at Calvary of Albuquerque for 10 years.
Karlie sees her main focus as raising her children to know and trust God. She considers shaping their worldview to be a substantial responsibility and therefore gives it top priority. She has served as vice-president of the PTO at Mitchell Elementary, the parent representative of the Instructional Council, and as a liaison between the Elementary and Middle Schools. Her encouragement to Christian mothers: Volunteer! Make yourself a valuable asset to your school(s) so you will have their ear.
Women’s Ministry is a passion. Being a “people person,” Karlie loves being involved in the personal growth of women young and old. She serves in the Prayer Room, on the Steering Committee for Women at Calvary and as a guest speaker at special events and retreats.

Larissa Lusko
Position: Ministry Director
Larissa is a native of New Mexico. She has a passion for the Word of God and a desire to teach women how to find His treasures in scripture. She has taught at women’s prisons in Belize and home Bible studies, led small groups for the School of Ministry and has enjoyed teaching for the Women at Calvary. She has been involved with the Women at Calvary for many years and serves on the steering committee.
Larissa teleworks as a consultant for the humanitarian relief organization, The Joshua Fund. Larissa enjoys travel, scuba diving, cycling, and reading.
Married to Pastor Chip Lusko, Larissa has one son, is the stepmother of five, and has three of the most precious grandchildren on the planet; Alivia (Liv), Lenya, and Jaxon.

Lenya Heitzig
Position: Executive Director
Lenya Heitzig is an award winning author and sought after speaker at conferences and retreats worldwide. She is the coauthor of the first two books in the Fresh Life Series: Live Fearlessly: A Study in the Book of Joshua and Live Intimately: Lessons from the Upper Room. Serving as the Executive Director of Women at Calvary, one of the core ministries at Calvary Albuquerque, she delights in seeing God’s Word do His work in the lives of women. Her husband, Skip Heitzig, is the Senior Pastor of the 12,000-member congregation that has been ranked one of the fastest growing churches in America. She received the Gold Medallion Award for co-authoring Pathway to God’s Treasure: Ephesians, which also includes Pathway to God’s Plan: Esther and Pathway to Living Faith: James in the series. She also contributed a number of devotionals to The New Women’s Devotional Bible, which was a finalist in the 2007 Christian Book Awards. Her most recent book, Holy Moments, published by Regal enlightens readers to see God’s hand of providence move miraculously in daily life. Lenya loves jogging with her dog Winston as well as sampling pastries wherever she goes, fulfilling her motto, “Run so you can eat!” She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband Skip and their adult son, Nathan who is a youth pastor.

Michelle Zaina has served in a wide variety of areas within the Women's Ministry. She has served on the Retreat and Celebration of Light teams, and is currently an AM Moderator. She just recently enjoyed her 10 year anniversary with her husband Louis and she homeschools her two boys, Arturo and Angelo.

Misty Foster
Position: Office Manager/Assistant to Lenya Heitzig
Misty was saved at Calvary of Albuquerque in 1998 and began attending the Women’s PM Bible study in 2004. She began serving in the Women’s Ministry in 2006 and has served at various events including Retreat, Bible study, and Celebration of Light. Her heart is to welcome women into the body of Christ and help them find their gifting and place in God’s family.
In 2007, Misty became part of the Calvary of Albuquerque family of staff as the Special Event Coordinator for the Women’s Ministry. In 2008, she moved into the position of Office Manager and Assistant to Lenya. As Department Head she oversees the day to day operations of the Women’s Ministry office and Bible Study. She enjoys the surprises of working alongside the staff at Calvary and reaching out to the city of Albuquerque and watching God work in the lives of His people.
Misty has been married to her wonderful husband Duncan for 4 years and has two wonderful step children, Jonathan 11 and Carissa 8.

Nichol has served in the Women’s Ministry since 2002. She first served behind the scenes in the prayer ministry. It was there that Nichol saw the many needs, hurts and pains the women around her were experiencing. By having the privilege to pray for other women, Nichol was able to take her eyes off herself and put them on the Lord and others. Nichol has also served at retreat, Celebration of Light, the AM study, and various Women at Calvary events. Nichol is married to a wonderful, godly man, Dominic and has three amazing daughters – JeNée, Michaela, and Téa. Nichol desires to glorify God by giving other women hope in the Lord that she too was given by her Savior in times that seemed so hopeless. It is truly an honor and answered prayer for her to serve the Women at Calvary like she herself has been served by the women’s ministry for so many years!

Penny Rose is the Gold Medallion Award winning coauthor of Pathway to God’s Treasure: Ephesians, as well as Pathway to God’s Plan: Esther, and Pathway to Living Faith: James published by Tyndale House. She also coauthored Live Intimately: Lessons from the Upper Room and Live Fearlessly: A Study in the Book of Joshua, the first two books in the Fresh Life Series. She was the General Editor and a devotional writer for Zondervan’s New Women’s Devotional Bible, a finalist for the Christian Book Award and contributed to Zondervan’s True Identity: The Bible for Women. She wrote A Garden of Friends published by Regal as an ode to biblical friendship. A longtime member of the Women at Calvary Steering Committee, Penny thrives on teaching at conferences and retreats nationwide. Penny lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband Kerry, a pastor at Calvary Albuquerque. They have two daughters: Erin and Ryan and one son: Kristian. She loves to spend time with family and friends, read, travel, and take naps.

Shaena has been a faithful servant of the Women’s Ministry for several years. Along with various areas of involvement in the Bible study, she has been Master of Ceremonies at the annual Women at Calvary Retreat and special guest speaker at the Christmas event, Celebration of Light.
Shaena and husband Nick Crespo have been married for four years and are enjoying the challenges of first-time parenthood as they grow and learn with one-year old Nicholas.
With a love and passion for the Bible, Shaena’s sincere hope is to see women discover a deeper relationship with God and allow His Word to transform their lives.

Sharon is a native of Albuquerque and has been attending Calvary of Albuquerque since about 1984. Later, after she and her husband, Jeff were married, they served in different ministries. They were Ministry Leaders for the YDDC, now called Prodigal for several years. They traveled with mission teams over seas before they started their family and continue to have a heart for missions/outreach. For over 15 years, Sharon has served in the Women’s Ministry in several different capacities. She has held positions of Prayer Coordinator, Outreach Coordinator; Moderator, and Moderator Overseer. Sharon has taught and has been on the writing team in previous studies. Currently, she serves on the Steering Committee, as the AM/PM Bible Study Overseer. She has 3 children: twin boys (4), and a daughter (11). She is continually “humbled by God’s grace and power.
