Briefly tell us about how you were saved.
I was saved at age 10 watching Oral Roberts on TV. When we finally started to get TV reception in Montana I watched everything including the test pattern. When I heard the gospel message, I accepted Christ right then and there and wrote to the ministry to tell them of my decision. God has had His hand on me ever since.
What's the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?
Bruce married me and he’s been my faithful husband ever since. There were years when I wondered how "nice" it all was but, I know now that besides my salvation he’s the best part of my life.
If you could have any "super power," what would it be and why?
I would love to have supernatural power in my fingertips to reach out and touch so many unbelieving family members. At my touch they would
instantly wake up to their need to accept Christ as Savior and do it!
What is your favorite smell, sound, or taste? Why?
I love the smell of clean sheets that have been hung outside to dry! I love the sound of the breeze blowing through pine trees. This creates a very pleasant smell, too.
What is your favorite Scripture verse? Elaborate.
I have several but the one that really speaks to me and has for many years is
If you could be "a fly on the wall" anywhere, anytime in history, where or what event would you want to attend?
I would have loved to be at the garden tomb when Mary and the disciples discovered the resurrection of the Lord.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
A very good friend of mine told me a number of years ago that along with my passion for the things of the Lord I needed to develop some diplomacy (in other words do it and say it in love). I did take it to heart and the Lord has been doing His work on me. It’s getting better!
Fill in the blank: "If I knew then what I know now, I would have ________"
…"smell the roses" along the way. I wouldn’t have been soooo busy! I would have trusted the Lord to direct my path and let me know what my name was on and what it wasn’t on.
If you could bless anyone with anything, who would it be, with what would you bless them, and why would you do it?
It would be wonderful to be able to bless my prodigal with a great desire to return to the God of her childhood, and right away. She wouldn’t want to wait any longer, not only for her sake but also for her two children, two of my precious grandchildren.
If you could ask God one question, what would it be?
I use to have this long list of questions I was going to ask God when I got to heaven, but over the years I’ve realized that when we get there it won’t matter any more. If I could ask Him one pertaining to the here and now it would either be "When are we going home?" or "How can we serve you better in the time we have left?"
