Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Five Guys Burgers and Fries' reputation precedes them. However, if you're on the fence about patronizing this restaurant don't allow the crowds to intimidate you. The tasty, double decker, burger and the value allows a nice, affordable outing with the family. Lines move quickly and I heard the cheese dogs are great.
Casual environment. Average double-meat burger cost $4.95. Single is $3.95.

Saggios is a pizzeria that is family owned and operated. The atmosphere is busy and loud, but lots of fun! Their slices of pie (pizza, that is) are wonderfully large! This a family friendly restaurant, situated in the Nob Hill area, so a family, date or double date night can all work at Saggios!

Koinonia Coffee House

I just discovered this wonderful coffee shop! I had heard about it and was pleasantly surprised to experience firsthand that it really is a wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee! The barista is also the pastor of the neighboring church. On top of now having another place to grab a cup of coffee and study, Koinonia also has family nights on Friday evenings! They alternate with a live band & karaoke night. Call first, because sometimes the place is booked for an event. I can't wait to have a karaoke night with my family in this wonderful Christian place!

The Rodeo Grill! The creator of The Range Cafés and Standard Diner presents a new restaurant concept featuring Nuevo Vaquero Chow - an eclectic mix of fresh campfire favorites for the modern cowboy. Located in the northeast heights, the Rodeo Grill is a casual dining restaurant serving lunch and dinner seven days a week.
My husband had the Mahi-Mahi Burgrito while I dared to tackle the Chicken Fried Chicken and Waffles. High, high marks from both of us. Next time I'm saving room for a shake!
Dog House

Talk about a hole in the wall! The Dog House has amazing hot dogs & hamburgers, not to mention their fries! This restaurant is truly a landmark in Albuquerque and has been around since the 1960's.
You may either order your food in your car or eat in the restaurant. It's rather small, so you may not get a table. There are also a couple of parks nearby to eat at, as well - one near downtown and one in the country club area.
*Note: This restaurant only takes CASH. No debit/credit cards.

Marcello's Chophouse

Marcello's is a locally owned restaurant in ABQ Uptown. The food is superb & the atmosphere is welcoming.
Most know Marcello's is quite pricey. However many do not know their lunch menu is quite affordable, especially if you share a plate with your husband or friend! My personal favorite: The Kobe burger. I split this delicious dish with friends all the time! It's a decent portion size & splitting the cost means I have a wonderful & cheap lunch! Of course this means more money for shopping at Uptown!
Times: Lunch ends at 3pm

Duran's Central Pharmacy

If you're looking for good New Mexican food that tastes like it is home cooked, look no further. Duran's Central Pharmacy is delicious! The unique atmosphere makes this a fun place to go. In addition to outstanding food, the pharmacy has unusual items to purchase. A favorite dish is the green chile chicken enchiladas, served only on Tuesdays and Fridays. Though quaint and casual, getting a table often takes a few minutes, but it's so worth it!
Don't forget to try their fresh tortillas, with butter of course!
NOTE: Duran's only take cash, no debit cards. An ATM is located in pharmacy.

This deli style restaurant at 8019 Menaul NE is hailed as a Cheese Market and Sandwich shop. You can pop in for a yummy cheese plate, crisp salad, or unique sandwich. The ingredients are fresh, the sandwiches are big enough to share and my daughter is one of the sous chefs!
Bon appetit!
